What is an FD Calculator?
A tool to calculate the interest and maturity amount for Fixed Deposits based on tenure, amount, and prevailing interest rates.
How to Use the FD Calculator?
1. Select the FD type: Cumulative or Payout (Quarterly/Monthly).
2. Enter the FD amount.
3. Input the tenure in your preferred format (Years/Months/Days).
4. The applicable interest rate, interest amount, maturity date and maturity amount are displayed to the customer.
How is FD Interest Calculated?
● Cumulative FD: Interest is calculated for the quarter and compounded/reinvested to the principal amount. Interest for the next quarter is calculated on the accumulative amount
● Quarterly Payout FD: Simple interest is paid at the end of each quarter.
● Monthly Payout FD: Discounted interest is paid at the end of each month.
● Short-term FD: Simple interest is calculated for the tenure.
