How Does One Create a New UPI ID on iMobile Pay

ICICI Bank offers iMobile Pay - an app that you can use for making payments online, as well as apply for any banking service/product with the bank.

How You Can Create a New UPI ID?

Most people prefer making digital payments through Unified Payments Interface or UPI mobile apps. The app allows you to send and receive money digitally, through a Virtual Payment Address or VPA, also known as a UPI ID. To carry out transactions or make payments, the UPI-based mobile app requires you to link this UPI ID with your bank. Considering the popularity of mobile payment apps, ICICI Bank has rolled out the iMobile Pay app to facilitate easy, safe and quick digital payments, irrespective of the bank. This app is not just limited to ICICI Bank customers; it can be used by customers of any bank.

iMobile Pay lets you pay for any service such as groceries, pharmacies, restaurants, utility bills, online recharges, book tickets, among others. Additionally, it offers you a comprehensive list of banking features and functions that will make it easy for you to conduct any banking task. Its banking feature allows you to avail any new service of ICICI Bank - opening a savings account, applying for a Loan, credit card and more.

Any person can start using the iMobile Pay app by simply registering their mobile number with ICICI Bank and downloading the app on their handset.

Below are the ways to access the app:

• Instal the iMobile Pay app from App Store or Play Store
• Once you open the app, you need to grant it permission to make phone calls and send/receive messages
• The app will ask you to set a log-in PIN. You can also enable fingerprint access

To send and receive money through UPI, it is important to have a VPA or UPI ID. A unique ID is provided to every user. Once you have a UPI ID with a UPI enabled bank, you can send and receive money, without sharing your account details. To receive money; all you have to share is the UPI ID.

How do you create a new UPI ID on iMobile Pay?

• Step 1: Log in to iMobile Pay
• Step 2: Set your login PIN and fingerprint access
• Step 3: You will be asked to link bank account. Your UPI ID will be automatically created and will look something like this mobno.imb@icici

Once your UPI ID is created, you can use the same ID for all transactions - it remains the same for all linked bank accounts. While you can continue banking with any bank or financial institution, you can still continue using the iMobile Pay app for all kinds of digital payments.
