Terms and Conditions for online nomination
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, the customer understands and confirms that:
- The facility for submission of 'ONLINE NOMINATION' (registration/cancellation) request is available for Savings Bank/Fixed Deposit/ I-Wish Recurring Deposit accounts opened with ICICI Bank Limited with single mode of operation
- This Facility is in addition to the existing service available through our ICICI Bank branches and is for customer convenience and ease and cannot be claimed as a right at any point of time. In case of non-availability of the Facility due to any technical or other reasons, you are requested to approach any nearest ICICI Bank branch linked with your account/deposit for further processing your request
- Under section 45 ZA of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 and Rule 2 of Banking Companies (Nomination) Rules, 1985 in respect of bank deposits, the nomination can be made in favor of only one nominee. In case of multiple names, the application will not get processed
- A confirmation regarding submission of nomination application online for registering/cancelling/modifying a nominee will be displayed on the system
- In case of receipt of multiple nomination detail, the latest request would be considered and will override existing nomination details, if any
- In case the nominee is a minor, the name of a legal guardian is mandatory. During the period the minor does not attain majority, the guardian will receive the amount on the minors behalf”
- The right of nominee to receive payment from ICICI Bank will arise only after the death of the depositor in single account and death of all depositors in case of joint accounts
- A nomination will continue to be in force even on renewal of a term deposit, unless specifically cancelled or changed
