FAQs for UPI on RuPay Credit Card Transactions

ICICI Bank RuPay Credit Card can be linked on IMobile Pay Application after 1 hour of RuPay Card Creation.

For Non QR UPI transaction, Online Payment needs to be enabled in Card Controls.

QR IMobile UPI transactions can be initiated post linking of RuPay Credit Card to UPI.

ICICI Bank RuPay Credit Card Expiry Details needs to be entered for the Card to be linked to TPAPs.

Cards & Forex > Select RuPay Credit Card > Manage Card > Enable Online Transactions

UPI Payments > Manage > My Profile > Create New UPI ID > Select RuPay Credit Card > Select UPI ID > Proceed > Confirm

For iMobile: No Separate UPI PIN needs to be created for IMobile.

NLI iMobile (Non Logged In) – MPIN will suffice as authentication.

LI IMobile (Logged in) – Device Binding and Logged-in is considered as 2 Factor Authentication.

For TPAPs: UPI PIN needs to be created for ICICI Bank RuPay CC when linking it to do UPI payments on TPAPs.

Once the ICICI Bank RuPay Credit Card is linked to iMobile app, follow the below steps to pay via UPI on CC on IMobile:

Scan QR Payment:

Open Scan and Pay -> Scan the QR code -> Select “Pay with RuPay Credit Card -> Click on Confirm Payment

UPI VPA Payment

Enter VPA at merchant -> Login to IMobile -> UPI Transactions -> Payment Requests - > Accept Payment -. Confirm

Yes, mobile number used for UPI apps should be same as the mobile number linked to your ICICI Cards.

If you have changed your mobile number, kindly update the same mobile number for your ICICI Bank RuPay Credit Card as well. After updating, kindly re-register the credit card on UPI app.

No, only payment to merchant (P2M) will be allowed from the linked Credit Card.

P2P and P2PM transactions are not allowed for UPI on CC.

Currently, as per RBI guidelines, only RuPay Credit Card can be linked on UPI.

There is no limit for the number of transactions carried out from linked Credit Card on UPI. However, the Limit on the transaction amount allowed from linked Credit Card on UPI is governed by the UPI transaction limits set by NPCI and the Credit Limit provided to you on your Credit card (whichever is lower).

Note – Limit of UPI transaction amount per Card Per day is Rs.5,000/- within the first 24 hrs. of linking the card in UPI app.

Categories – P2P, P2PM, digital account opening, lending platform, cash withdrawal at merchant, cash withdrawal at ATM, ERUPI, IPO, Foreign Inward Remittances, Mutual Funds and any other categories as restricted by ICICI Bank from time to time.

There are no additional charges for linking or carrying out any UPI transaction from the Credit Card.

No, funds cannot be received on linked credit card on UPI.

Yes, Customer needs to enable ICICI Bank credit card controls (Online) using IMobile/ Internet Banking to use Credit card for regular purchases as well as UPI transactions.

Yes, incase the ICICI Bank RuPay Credit card is renewed or replaced, customer needs to re-register the Credit card in UPI Apps.

ICICI Bank Credit card transactions through UPI platform will also be available in ICICI Bank RuPay Credit card statements every month. The same can be checked on IMobile/ internet banking

Yes, UPI spends using Credit Card will earn reward points same as the reward point structure of the respective Credit Card.

Fuel Surcharge Waiver will be applicable as per the respective Credit Card features
