In our endeavor to make your experience with ICICI Bank Credit Cards even more safe and convenient, this time we bring to you the process on transaction dispute. We present to you answers to a series of frequently asked questions and some important points to be adhered to while raising a credit card transaction dispute.
You are entitled to dispute any unauthorized transaction noticed on your credit card. We, on your behalf, send the transaction back to the Merchant’s bank (called acquirer) and charge back the same. The above process is called a charge-back on a disputed transaction.

In case you do not recognize a transaction on your card statement, you can request for a copy of the transaction receipt/charge slip. However this attracts a service fee of Rs.100 plus service tax (as applicable).

For transactions done through 2nd level authentication in the form of 3D Secure password or PIN, ICICI Bank on your behalf cannot charge-back a transaction and hence your request will be declined. Though, in these cases also you can request for a copy of the transaction receipt/ charge slip (charges as applicable).
