Overview
The banking and financial services sector is undergoing an unprecedented growth. Today the banking sector employs 9 lakh people and will employ 15 lakh by 2012. However, one of the crucial impediments to growth is the acute shortage of manpower talent of this specific nature. The Banking and Financial Services Industry (BFSI) requires employees with the solidity of domain knowledge blended with contemporary skills. In view of this emerging skill gap, ICICI Bank has pioneered the partnership with Academia in August 2006.
ICICI Bank has collaborated with Universities and colleges at the graduate level to vocationalize education. This is being done through:
- Designing curriculum and developing content on BFSI sector
- Sharing of e-learning courses and setting up e-learning centers
- Conducting Faculty Development Programs
